Vikki Jacobs

Vice President of Film & Music Licensing, Universal Pictures

Vikki's extensive experience in music licensing makes her an important asset to Universal Pictures since her arrival in 2015. With nearly 20 years at Sony Pictures handling music clearance for TV, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as head of the music licensing team.

Working on diverse titles such as Trolls, Sing, Nope, and Oppenheimer, Vikki collaborates directly with the creative team to secure approvals for music usage outside of the film, demonstrating her eye for detail and dedication to ensuring all rights are cleared properly. Additionally, she tracks down obscure copyrights and master recording rights to deliver the best music for Universal's productions.

Originally from England, Vikki's music journey started at CBS Records, where she handled hospitality and transport for international artists. Her career then led her into tour management and booking before relocating to the USA in 1993, adding an international perspective to her already impressive background in the music industry.
