Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE

Chairman InterTalent Rights Group / Chosen Music

Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE's three-decade-long career in the UK entertainment industry has earned him a well-deserved reputation as a visionary leader and innovator. His achievements, including receiving an OBE from Her Majesty The Queen, highlight his significant contributions to the field. Notably, his collaboration with the late Sir George Martin on the groundbreaking album celebrating Larry Adler's Gershwin performances, featuring music legends like Carly Simon, Cher, Elton John, and Sting, secured a place in the Guinness World Records.

As a well-respected artist manager, Jonathan achieved notable success, guiding Welsh soprano Charlotte Church to become the youngest musician topping the UK classical charts. His ventures into British Black R&B and Hip Hop, managing acts like Jamelia, Big Brovaz, Terri Walker, N-Dubz, and WSTRN, garnered them 16 MOBO Awards and BRIT nominations collectively. Co-chairing the UK Classical BRITs and managing Katherine Jenkins and Russell Watson further demonstrate his influence in the classical music sphere.

As Chairman of Chosen Music and InterTalent Rights Group, Jonathan continues to excel in nurturing and developing talent in collaboration with major music companies. His philanthropic endeavors in charities like Variety, MOBO Charity Foundation, and ChickenShed showcase his commitment to giving back. Beyond his home country, Jonathan's advisory role in Festival UK 2022 and influential media commentary on the entertainment industry further solidify his impact on a global scale. With an unwavering passion and dedication to the creative arts, Jonathan Shalit remains an inspiration and leader in the industry.
