Shayna Leigh originally found music through the dramatic arts, where she first discovered singing and found it to be the most instinctual form of expression she'd ever experienced. Influenced not only by contemporary hitmakers but also ageless greats such as The Beatles, Carole King and Laura Nyro, she spent years writing, recording and performing, searching for the sound that best defined her own artistry. In the summer of 2015, Shayna released her debut album Drive on S-Curve Records/UMG. The album includes ten tracks produced and co-written by multi-Platinum and multi-Grammy Award-winning record producer Michael Mangini (Joss Stone, Diane Birch) and Emmy Award-winning, multi-Platinum songwriter and producer Peter Zizzo (Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton). Earlier this year, Shayna supported Lee DeWyze, the winner of “American Idol” season 9 on tour, performed a number of shows across the US and UK and has previously opened for the likes of Howie Day and Sister Hazel. She has since returned with new music and the first offering from her upcoming Disaster Artist EP with “Candle.” The track made its radio debut on tastemaker KCSN Los Angeles while also receiving support from KNDD Seattle, KNRK Portland, OR and KKDO Sacramento. The visual for the song was added to CMT’s Artist Discovery program and was played over 140 times.
