The town of Budweis in southern Czech Republic is famous for one thing: beer. Karelll moved here from the capital Prague at a young age, a big city boy in a small country town. Hailing from a family of musicians, he’d find solace in melodies. He quickly grew accustomed to the role of the outsider, the underdog, and began to embrace it. While the other kids were playing in the street, he was plotting his escape - and music would be his passport. He took up the piano at age seven and that ignited a passion that still forms the roots of his songwriting today. After a year-long sojourn in film music, he enrolled in an English music school, where the familiar feeling of being an outsider returned full force. His door may have been locked, but his amp was never turned off. It was here that Karelll developed his genre-defying style, which includes guitar and piano-based pop alongside samples and modern-day frills. Hoping to become the second-most famous export from Budweis, Karelll releases debut single "Hear My Song" on May 11th through Panic House Music.
