President & Founder, Riptide Music Group

Rich Goldman is President and Founder of Riptide Music Group, a creative music company in Los Angeles supporting artists and writers with music synchronization, publishing and administration and indie label services. He is a lifelong musician who has amassed a broad range of industry credits as a producer, recording engineer, composer, sound designer, publisher and recording studio operator.

On the moment of the Millennium, Rich relocated from the Midwest to Los Angeles and formed Riptide Music, which grew into one of the leading synchronization companies in the world. Riptide successfully places music for the artists it represents in programing and marketing for virtually every media - in top level ads, TV shows, trailers, promos, films, video games and social media platforms. Riptide expanded into music publishing to collect royalties generated from the media placements for the writers it represents - and most recently, is growing its label to capitalize on the exposure that its sync activity generates for the artists Riptide represents. In 2020, Hidden Track Music with its roster of luminary artists joined the Riptide Music Group family.

Sync activity generated by the Riptide and Hidden Track labels for their roster of artists include: Maybelline, Arby's, Jeep, Pepsi, Apple / Dr. Brain, Parasite, Hotel Transylvania 4, 1917, The Crown / Euphoria, Law & Order, Cobra Kai, Emily In Paris, Sex Lives of Collage / FIFA, NBA 2K22, Madden 21, Fortnite, Tony Hawk Pro Skater1+2 / Tik Tok, Peloton and Spotify.

Prior to Riptide, Rich along with his wife Ellie built and operated the legendary Fifth Floor Recording Studios in Cincinnati, becoming one of the major centers for recording in the Midwest, recording for artists the likes of: Prince, Sheila E, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton, The Ohio Players, Midnight Star and Zapp, leading to steady Billboard chart activity and multiple gold records.

Rich has been a speaker at various music events including ASCAP: I Create Music, PMA, Billboard Film & TV Conference, Game Developers Conference, British Sync Mission, Durango Song Expo and co-organized and moderated the MIDEM "Sync" panels for many years. Rich continues to have the good fortune to perform gigs with his wife Ellie, son Scott and daughter Jess.
