Listen to Keir Gibson on Spotify

Keir Gibson is a songwriter from Fort William, in the Highlands of Scotland.
He released his debut single 'Eyes Wide' in August last year. In the nine months that followed, he released his second single 'Hollow'; was played on BBC Radio 1 several times by DJs Scott Mills and Molly King; was earmarked by The Scottish Sun as "Scotland's next big breakthrough talent"; and toured the UK. This was all before rounding off the year performing to 5,000 revellers at Edinburgh's famous Hogmanay Street Party.
This month, the 19-year-old who lives in the shadow of Ben Nevis is set to release his third and most ambitious single to date - 'Circles'.
The track reinforces Keir's sound, combining alt-pop soundscapes with vivid lyricism that could be mistaken for a script from the latest teen Netflix drama. Capping it all off is Keir's emotive voice - one which hints at a thoughtful character and old soul which it's difficult to believe belong to a young Highlander who finished High School less than a year ago.
'Circles' provides Keir's perspective on a relationship that's past its best:
"'Circles' is about two people who are in a constant cycle of falling in and out with each other. They both know it's unhealthy but at the same time they're too afraid to lose the other person by turning their backs on the relationship and admitting that it's over."
