Song: "Feel Alive"

"Electronic pop music with bad-sounding guitars" – that's how KAMRAD self-ironically describes his sound. A sound that combines what used to be called indietronica with fresh beats and contemporary production and doesn't even begin to suggest that KAMRAD is from Velbert, a small town in NRW.

With the song "I Believe," KAMRAD's music made it out of the small town and connected with millions of people. The track released in early 2022 was the 25-year-old's breakthrough: it went Top 10 on the airplay charts in nine European territories and secured gold and platinum awards in five of them, including Germany and Poland. However, the singer's sound isn't just catching on the radio but also on TikTok, where he presents his music in humorous clips that have amassed more than 50 million views.

KAMRAD builds on the exact feeling that made "I Believe" so unique and hypnotizing with his new single "Feel Alive." It's an infectious, optimistic, and, above all, danceable song that makes you sing along with driving guitars and rousing backings carrying a decent dose of positivity. The song's content establishes a message close to the songwriter's heart: the sudden awakening of confidence, re-discovered fun, and trust. It's about a moment when a weight is lifted off your shoulders – when you feel the wind under your wings again, and the world is returned to its rightful owner: you.

KAMRAD experienced the ups and downs of "I was feeling numb, numb, now I feel alive" personally over the past two years. When he was at the absolute low of his career in mid-2021 and had just parted ways with his former record company as well as his management, his parents took out a loan to offer him a fresh start. It allowed him to keep making music and finance the production of "I Believe" and a support tour with Nico Santos. "When I realized things were picking up again, it was like I had gotten rid of a huge weight. The fear was gone, and I suddenly felt alive again," says KAMRAD.

The lyrics of "Feel Alive" are about this exact moment and meant to encourage everyone who's going through a difficult time. The 25-year-old musician's message is: things will get better, even if they don't always seem to. Now, KAMRAD's only way is up – the restart turned out to be a success, and "Feel Alive" is a launch into the year 2023 with lots of new material: "I've never had such a good time making music."

This joy will be showcased live on stage once again on his "I Believe European Tour 2023" – a milestone the artist can't wait to achieve: "Performing live is the greatest thing for me, and I have a lot up my sleeve for this tour."
