Raphael worked as a club promoter, DJ and recording artist before joining London Records in 1994. In 1996 he co-founded NorthWest Side Records and when the label was rolled into Arista in 2001, Nick became A&R Director at Arista. A year later he left for Sony, where he served two separate stints as Epic Records UK Managing Director. In 2011, he departed Sony (along with A&R partner and now Capitol Co-President Jo Charrington) to relaunch London Records for Universal Music which was re-branded as Capitol Records UK after UMG’s acquisition of EMI. Among the artists signed by Jo and Nick are included (at Sony/Epic) Aloe Blacc, Charlotte Church, Imogen Heap, Olly Murs, Paloma Faith and Scouting for Girls, while at Capitol their signings have included 5 Seconds of Summer and Sam Smith, as well as former One Direction member, Liam Payne.

A true A&R visionary, Wendy has been involved in the success of some of the industry’s hottest pop and hip-hop stars including pairing Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj together for the triple-Platinum smash “Side To Side,” and developing DNCE from a fledging baby act into a multi-Platinum sensation throughout 2017. Having been intimately involved with The Weeknd on 2015’s Beauty Behind The Madness, she led the creation of his multi-Platinum album Starboy and has guided The Weeknd’s XO label, releasing works from NAV, Belly and more in 2017. Additionally, Wendy oversaw the launch of Marc. E Bassy and his growth into a Platinum star on the success of “You & Me” (feat.G-Eazy), and paired Hailee Steinfeld with Zedd for the double-Platinum track “Starving.”

Also joining the opening day programming is Pete Ganbarg, President of A&R for Atlantic Records who will be in conversation with Ralph Simon (Founder & CEO, Mobilium Global & Co-Founder of Zomba Group & Jive Records).
