VINCENT "TUFF" MORGAN
Director Pop/Urban, peermusic
Vincent “Tuff” Morgan is an Urban/Pop music industry insider with over 15 years of experience, including artist/producer, management, writing/production, publishing and A&R. During his college years at Montclair State University in New Jersey, Tuff landed a record deal with KRS1-One and Capitol Records. After receiving a Gold album, and three major label deals later, he moved to the West Ccoast where he started writing and producing with super-producer Mike City on various artists including Dr. Dre, Method Man, The Game, Busta Rhymes, Melanie Fiona and Rhianna.
As a writer/producer, he started developing and managing artists doing A&R for major music executives, Jheryl Busby (Umbrella records) and Brian Turner (Melee/formerly Priority Records). Tuff secured an imprint deal with Def Jam and Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label shortly thereafter and also a Joint Venture with Peermusic Publishing the same year. In his new role as Director of Pop/Urban at Peermusic, Tuff oversees writers across Peermusic such as Salaam Remi, James Poyser, Volume Venture’s Larrance Dopson, Sons of Sonix, The Audibles and indie bands Dead Sara, Black Violin, Family of the Year and Cigarettes After Sex.
