Swedish born MaKeyla had her sights set on stardom from an early age. She developed her skills and honed her craft at the prestigious Lund Dance and Musical Academy. Her voice and stage presence got her an invitation to sing in the Swedish rendition of Les Miserable at the famous Malmö Opera House. In 2014, MaKeyla was one of only four artists selected to go straight to the finals onSwedish Idol, without having to audition. In 2015 she was invited to Toronto by the original producer of Drake (amongst others) to write and record. One of their songs, "Nemesis," later received frequent airplay on major radio stations on the east coast in US. Regal Republic discovered her talent through US airplays of said "Nemesis" and invited her to Los Angeles to work and develop her sound. For the past two years MaKeyla has been super focused to work with a talented team, spending her time between Los Angeles and Sweden working hard on songwriting, fitness, styling, language skills, dancing…just about anything related to being ready to compete on the top level. A recent deal with Blue Lemon Management marks the starting point of now connecting the dots and making all the hard work come to fruition on the international market.
