JAZZ MORLEY

JAZZ MORLEY

Origin: Bournemouth, England
Contact: Ed Hill

Song: "Safe Place"

Jazz Morley is a British singer-songwriter making waves with her beautiful soul-influenced electronica, gaining reference to the likes of Jessie Ware, Lana Del Rey and Sia. Growing up in a musical family, it was no surprise Jazz began writing songs at the piano from a young age. Finding influence from Whitney Houston to Jeff Buckley and Fleetwood Mac, the foundations for Jazz’s music had honest depth and showed an effortless ability for lyrics and melody that captivated the audiences of her early performances. In 2016, Jazz self-released her single "Bad Love" and "Take Me Down," which showcased her newly found passion for electronic music. These songs gained immediate international praise from NYLON, Billboard, BBC Introducing, KCRW, went Top 5 on Hype Machine in addition to being added to playlists across Apple Music and Spotify, which saw these songs streamed nearly 4 Million times in under a year. With this momentum, Jazz has been invited to write and collaborate with some of the UKs top producers. Continuing to release her music independently, seeing streams surge into the millions, 2017 proved her most successful year to date. Along with sell out shows in London and Bournemouth with her new band, Jazz’s summer single "Safe Place" was also supported by legendary tastemaker Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 as well as being added to the playlist at Radio 1 as their BBC Introducing Track Of The Week. This year has already seen the release of her latest single "Me And My Mind," which gained further New Music Friday support at Spotify and multiple BBC Introducing plays. This momentum comes ahead of her debut U.S. showcase at MUSEXPO; fully funded and supported by the PRS Foundation as an artist ready to expand her international profile. With more new music, live shows and UK festivals on the horizon, Jazz continues to prove herself as one of the most exciting unsigned artists coming out of the UK this year.
