All Mankind have gained a loyal
following across the USA, UK, and Australia, having performed over 500 times in
the last three years to more than 100,000 fans. The band's live success has led
to independent album sales in the thousands and award nominations for
songwriting and performance in both Australia and America. In 2008, All Mankind
went into the studio with noted ARIA-winning producer David Nicholas (Elton John,
Sting), and Peter Mayes (PNAU, Empire of the Sun). The resulting EP
earned its way onto the airwaves of such diverse outlets as Indie 103.1FM Los Angeles, WRXP New York, MotorFM Germany, KNRK-FM Portland,
OR, and ABC Radio Australia,
while also gaining fans such as Mike
Walsh, Music Director at the famed Xfm (UK). Songs from the band's follow-up EP (mixed by
Grammy-nominated producer Brandon
Friesen) continued to have a strong radio reaction, and made their way into
a number of prime time US television shows. "Open Your Eyes" was featured as
the theme song in the TV advertisement for Emmy Award-winning
ABC TV show "Jamie Oliver's
Food Revolution." In addition, their tune "Hollywood Tonight" has been heard
regularly on MTV's "The Hills."
Now this quartet, currently based in Sydney but always on the go, has just
finished recording their eagerly anticipated, epic full-length album with Mike Crossey
(Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight, The Kooks and Mercury Prize-nominated act Foals) at The Motor Museum studios
in Liverpool, England. The album was also mixed by Crossey
and mastered by Robin Schmidt (Razorlight, VV Brown, Tommy Sparks, Go:Audio) at 24_96 Mastering in Germany. The first taste from Simple Desire, can be heard in the first single,
"Break The Spell." The tune is getting spins across the world, being played in
the US, UK, Australia, France, Canada, Indonesia, Peru, Greece and Germany.
Bloggers and Industry alike are taking notice, with nods from Record of the Day, Arjan Writes, Crazed Hits, Reverbnation and
Future Sounds.
